NetSuite Unveils New Agents and SuiteSkills to Advance Autonomous ERP Vision
NetSuite has taken the wraps off a broad portfolio of new artificial intelligence capabilities at its annual conference, outlining a strategic push toward an autonomous suite designed to automate routine business operations. The latest announcements build on the vendor’s existing technology roadmap by introducing specialized agents, modular building blocks, and accelerated deployment tools infused with enterprise context.
Expanding Agentic Capabilities and Industry Focus
At the center of the latest release is a new collection of industry-specific SuiteAgents. According to Craig Sullivan, GVP Product Management at Oracle NetSuite, these agents apply tailored industry knowledge to surface issues, suggest next steps, and execute workflows across software, products, services, healthcare, construction, and non-profit sectors. Agents tailored for software, product, and construction companies are currently available through the NetSuite Next interface, while versions for other sectors are scheduled to follow.
To support these capabilities, NetSuite introduced a library of more than 45 agentic building blocks known as SuiteSkills. These components perform operations within the underlying platform while respecting established business rules, user roles, and security permissions. Available functions range from warehouse management and project operations to labor cost management, customer support, and financial variance analysis. Organizations can utilize these skills natively or integrate them with external large language models via the NetSuite AI Connector Service.
Context, Governance, and Implementation
Underpinning the new automation features is a heavy emphasis on data governance and system context. NetSuite leverages decades of accumulated operational information and process knowledge to ensure artificial intelligence tools understand user requests and deliver consistent outcomes. A dedicated SuiteAgent Management Workspace centralizes permission management, monitors activity, tracks record changes, and alerts administrators to execution issues.
In addition to runtime governance, the company announced SuiteExpress, an agentic implementation and migration toolset designed to accelerate setup and ongoing maintenance. The tool relies on two primary knowledge bases:
- NetSuite proprietary product documentation and historical implementation expertise.
- A customized Customer Knowledge Base built by ingesting meeting notes, documents, spreadsheets, and data from external systems.
The initial release of SuiteExpress is targeted at software industry customers operating in the United States and Canada.
User Experience Enhancements
The company also detailed several upgrades to NetSuite Next, its conversational interface powered by the Ask Oracle natural language assistant. Among the additions are AI Portlets, which generate dashboard charts and analytical actions from natural language queries, and AI Workspaces, which serve as centralized hubs for coordinating teams, approvals, and automated tasks. Furthermore, NetSuite Analytics Warehouse has been rebranded as NetSuite Data Intelligence to reflect deeper conversational analysis powered by Ask Oracle agents.
While North American users are the first to gain access to these conversational features, international roll-outs are underway. Regional availability is expanding into the United Kingdom, with deployments slated for Spain, Sweden, and the Benelux countries in early 2027.
